1) How safe is IPL treatment?
The Dualmax is an FDA-approved device. When used by experienced and trained clinicians, treatment is safe and effective and results are reproducible.
2) What are the benefits of the IPL Photofacial procedure?
Each session you receive will yield some improvement in sun spots, redness and skin discoloration.* A single session is not recommended since it is unlikely to achieve your cosmetic goals. We recommend a package of 3 treatments for better results.*
3) How often are treatments performed?
Additional IPL sessions can be repeated at 3-4 week intervals. Several sessions are recommended for better results.*
4) Who will perform my treatment?
Your treatments will be performed by one of our physician .
5) Is the procedure painful?
The pulse of the IPL looks and feels similar to a flashbulb on your skin. You may feel some heat but it does not hurt. Therefore, numbing cream is not necessary at times depending on skin condition.
6) What is the aftercare like?
There may be some redness that usually resolves within hours.* Over the following week, you may feel graininess on your face as sun spots shrivel and fall off.* Sun avoidance and SPF 30 sunblock are very important to give you results and avoid complications.
